EssE began in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia in April 2020 as an Oscar Prada's solo project. After listening to the first demo song, which would later have the name “Letanías al Verdugo”, John Sierra decides to join the project. During the composition process, Quique wanted to join to complete the formation of the band.
The theme of the band mainly covers the Colombian reality.
